Meet The Team

Edel McGrane
Lead Chartered Physiotherapist

Edel, the owner and practicing physiotherapist at McGrane Physiotherapy Clinic is a native of Walterstown.

A graduate in 2007 from Trinity College, Edel has since spent her time gaining valuable experience in both musculoskeletal and sports-therapy in private practice both locally and overseas (Australia and New Zealand).

Edel is an experienced sportswoman through her own participation with Seneschalstown GFC and Meath Ladies (gaelic football) and as team physiotherapist with clubs of other various codes including hurling, soccer and rugby. Edel’s previous roles as team physiotherapist for the Meath Senior footballers, Meath Minor footballers, Louth senior footballers, Walterstown GFC, Rathkenny GFC, Seneschaltown GFC and Parkvilla FC has ensured the expansion of the practice, with clients travelling from throughout the county for appointments.

Other sportspeople who attend the clinic include runners / cyclists / swimmers, to name but a few, both recreational and competitive.

Edel’s keen interest in sport, and her own unfortunate experience of rupturing her ACL in 2010 has been of major benefit in her ability to successfully manage many injuries, allowing the client to return to their chosen sport or lifestyle.

As a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, Edel is committed to continuing professional development. She has extensive experience and post-graduate education in musculoskeletal injuries, neck and back injuries, manual therapy and Orthotic prescription. Edel uses dry needling as an adjunct to physiotherapy for the treatment of musculoskeletal problems.
